Kiyou is a luxury plum which is difficult to cultivate and takes a lot of time and effort to grow succesfully. This product uses the whole kiyou plum as itselft and it gives you strong tartness right after you bite into it and sweetness lingers in your mouth afterwards.

INGREDIENT

Kiyou is especially large in size compared to other plum varieties. It's a succulent variety with an amazingly high juice content. Biting into the fruit, you taste the melty sweetness of the flesh and the tartness of the skin mixed together. You can't taste this delicious harmony with any other fruit. Since it's very difficult to grow Kiyou and only highly skilled farmers are capable of that, there are not many farmers who grow this variety across Japan. Kiyou has this yellow patterns called ""Unmon"" on the skin, which means the fruit is sweet and juicy.

FLAVOR

By cutting and processing the fruit with skin on, you taste the tartness well at first and then the sweetness starts to kick in. You taste the sweetness more and more as you chew.Also by keeping the skin on, Kiyou's amazing juiciness is maintained well so you can enjoy the ""raw texture"".

PLACE OF ORIGIN

Kiyou we use is grown by a highly skilled farmer, Mr. Kutsuma from Minami Alps City in Yamanashi Prefecture, where the variety originated.

PRESERVATION METHOD Store in a cool dry place, out of direct sunlight. “Best Before” date is one year after the production date. See bottom of can. Although we remove seeds manually, some seeds may be present. After opening, seal and comsume as soon as possible. Refrigeration recommended after opening. Please note that product specifications, etc. may change without prior notice.
